About the Event

Join us April 15th for a hands on class for all the basics about GOATS! We'll be covering a wide range of subjects in this class, so get your notebooks ready!

Diet: No, you shouldn't feed your goat your leftover dinner. No, candy isn't good for your goats. Yes, goats will eat everything they can get into. Now that we've got the basics out of the way, this class will go into details on what food your goat needs, how much of it is needed, and how changing their diet can affect their health.

Breed: With dozens of breeds of goats, it can be tricky to determine which is the best for you. We'll introduce you to multiple members of our herd, and explain why we chose the breeds we have!

Medication: Vaccines, deworming, emergenct meds, the list goes on. It can be overwhelming to know what you need to have on hand to give your goats to keep them in good health. Not only will you get a list of all of the "must have" medication to have on hand, but you'll also get to administer medication to a goat!

Shelter: After building dozens of goat shelters, and cleaning those shelters for the last eight years, we've learned what shelters are easiest to clean and mainatin to ensure your goats are healthy!

Basic Vet Work: Running fecals, trimming hooves, and deworming goats are all EASY skills to learn that will allow you to save your money for the vet emergencies!
